Reduction of Blister Occurrence after Plating in Zinc Alloy Die Casting by Optimization of Gating System

In die casting, laminations are a serious problem because they cause blisters, stripping defects and zinc deposition on the mold surface. Blisters reduce quality of product, deposits surface productivity. Therefore, analytical prediction risk lamination formation optimization gating system for reducing occurrence due to very important before designing mold. To optimize system, we used an evaluation criterion formulated using shear rate molten metal flow in casting simulation. this study, proposed coupling analysis method consisting temperature filling analyses, applied it based criterion. Using method, eliminated blisters after plating.
